The essential ingredients for making Suero Drink: water, salt, sugar, and lemon. 1 liter of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt (preferably sea salt or Himalayan salt)
- 4 tablespoons of sugar (or honey for a more natural sweetener)
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon or lime
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon of ginger powder or freshly grated ginger for an added boost.
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine 1 liter of water with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 4 tablespoons of sugar. Stir well until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
- Add the juice of 1/2 lemon or lime and stir again to combine.
- For an optional flavor boost, add ginger powder or freshly grated ginger. Stir the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before drinking.
- Serve chilled over ice for a refreshing rehydration boost, especially after physical exertion or during illness recovery.
