- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the apple cider and vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon for the topping, and sprinkle it on top of the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing. Enjoy!
Notes
For a sweeter finish, drizzle a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk or apple cider on top after cooling.
