Mummy Cupcakes

These spooky Mummy Cupcakes combine delicious chocolate cake with fun decor, perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • White frosting
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Candy eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
  6. Use white frosting to pipe bandage-like stripes across the cupcakes to create the mummy effect.
  7. Add chocolate frosting in small swirls to make the eyes.
  8. Finally, place candy eyeballs on top of the frosting.

Notes

Make sure to let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating for better frosting adherence. You can use chocolate chips or mini marshmallows instead of candy eyeballs.
