Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds beef roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2–3 rolls (French or hoagie)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
- In a slow cooker, add the sliced onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and the beef roast.
- Cook on low for 480 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Once done, shred the beef and return it to the au jus.
- Toast the rolls and pile high with the shredded beef.
- Serve with a side of the au jus for dipping.
Notes
Use a roast with good marbling for tenderness and flavor. Let the beef rest before shredding to keep it juicy. Toast rolls just before serving for the best texture.
